Ewa Michalewicz spent the earlier years of her career in Europe, New Zealand (1982 - 1988), and the United States (1989 - 2004). She holds a master degree in civil engineering and bachelor degree in fine arts, and her current residence is in Adelaide, South Australia.

Ewa travelled extensively and visited many countries, including Portugal, Spain, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, England, Italy, Egypt, Hong Kong, Thailand, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador (Galapagos Islands), Chile (Easter Island), and Brazil.

She also spent countless hours  in some the most famous galleries and museums, such as the Louvre, Vatican, Ufizzi Gallery, d'Orsay, National Gallery of London, Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Prado, and many others. All of these travels have inspried many of her artworks.

Ewa's paintings are on display in many private collections around the wolrd, and her work has also been used on the cover of several books published by international publishers in Germany, England, and the Netherlands. Her artworks include oil portraits of John Paul II and Lech Walesa.
